Impact Wrestling 9/22/2020

Impact was sooooo much better than Raw. Just like I'd rather watch a fun & easy 2 hours of AEW Dynamite (despite its flaws) I'd also rather watch a full 2 hours of Impact that's fun (but can also get boring) than to watch a nonsensical and insulting episode of RAW. RAW made no sense and was largely long and boring.

Now granted saying Impact wasn't bad is like saying you're the nicest guy in prison. I mean it's commendable, but doesn't mean much or have much merit. It's wacky because the damage that's been done is unrepairable. Impact now is like a local territory from the 80s in 2020. Because they have like 2 or 3 ppvs or years far apart they just build from show to show....which is good.

The Impact Plus flashback moment of the week was Bound For Glory 2013’s Bully Ray vs. AJ Styles match. It's also a mind trip when they show clips, matches, segments from the video library. AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Dixie Carter, Hulk Hogan, etc. It's seems straight out of library not their. And everything from the fault initially ripe with potential now irrelevant, because many have come and gone never to truly be capitalized on.

Anyway I give this episode and every episode since Slammiversary 2020 a thumbs up.

The end of the show saw Eddie Edwards being attacked in the dark.

This was a really good show by Impact. We got many storyline developments towards both Victory Road and Bound For Glory. There wasn't a lot of in-ring work, but what we had was good.
